Why Stitch?
The name comes from two things I love deeply: baking bread (where you stitch the dough to shape the loaf) and the slow, intentional craft of needlepoint. Both take patience, care, and a steady hand — and so does building something worth keeping.

I didn't plan to start Stitch… I was made redundant, and it turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. Twenty-plus years across retail, marketing, the arts, tech, design, and hospitality have given me a pretty clear picture of what businesses actually need to function well. Starting Stitch meant I could finally put all of that to work for people I genuinely care about helping.
You get more than something that looks great. You get something that works, that you can actually use and that grows with you.

For Stitch, that means working with small to medium businesses who are values-aligned, people who care about doing things well and doing them right. If you're chasing growth at any cost, I'm probably not your person. But if you're building something with heart, pull up a chair.
I'm a big believer in slow business. Not slow as in sluggish… slow as in intentional. Taking the time to do things properly, without the pressure of hustle culture telling you to scale, optimise and burn yourself out in the process.
Accessibility and inclusion aren't afterthoughts here; they're 100% baked into how I work. I'm always learning, reshaping, and unlearning to support my family every day. This goes far beyond a flag in the footer.
I hold deep respect for First Nations peoples and their continued wisdom and leadership. I'm committed to doing the ongoing work of decolonising — in how I think, how I learn, and how I show up in this business.
